Improved processing procedures in garment manufacturing

Aspects of the preparation of grey cotton fabrics prior to dyeing were investigated. Shrinkage behaviour of poplin and twill fabrics at different pretreatment stages and at various points in the garments was studied. The effects of sewing tension and stitches per inch on puckering were also examined, as was the influence of different preparatory processes on the performance of the garments.
