An introduction to the physicochemical forces that influence apparel wet processing reviews moisture regain, saturation regain, location of process water, and vacuum wetting. In garment dyeing, washing, or finishing, the saturation regain properties of the fibers and the uniformity of moisture content of the fabric during processing dictate the quality of the processed garment.
