The results of using various air-permeability testing instruments during trials on 22 different apparel fabrics (both woven and knitted) of various compositions are summarized. The instruments include the VPTM-2M from Moscow and the Shirley Air Permeability Tester from Shirley Developments Ltd, UK. The results for the VPTM correspond closely to the Shirley instrument.
