Non-coated warp-knitted dust-resistant protective garments (German)

The Saxon Textile Research Institute, Germany, has developed a method for producing dense but breathable fabrics which retain their microporous structures without the need for membranes or coatings. The fabrics are produced on warp knitting machines using specific conditions and then subjected to a high temperature treatment. Possible end-uses are dust-resistant protective garments, protective or work clothing for pest control, in the paint-spraying sector, in insulation work and grinding operations.
