System Madis 1.0 Beta for computer-aided design of knitted apparel products with regard to industrial and teaching applications

The guiding principles for a CAD system for knitted garments are presented. In the first phase of its development the functions of the system were restricted to the design of outer apparel for covering the upper part of the female body. The configuration and funcations of the system are designed so that it can be used by medium-sized knitted garment manufacturers as well as for teaching purposes at the secondary and higher levels of professional training.
