computer assisted calculations were made to predict the course of the rectal temperature and heat storage of a working man, wearing impermeable protective garments. the calculations were based on the givoni-goldman system as well as on a developed heat exchange model the results are different and the latter model seems to have a slight preference. safety limits are given in terms of work-rest ratios for long wearing times and in terms of tolerance times for continuous work and for various values of climate and work
