According to current market research world demand for leisure and sportswear will increase in the coming years. Heightened health consciousness is expected to create new freetime activities which will require confortable and fashionable clothing. Combinations of synthetic fibres with breathable materials are very successful due to their capabilities and wearer comfort. Sportswear is not used for the most part for actively sporting activities, but rather worn as casualwear, and so needs to fulfil the fashion and functional demands that go with that area. Items made from modal fibres are distinguished by their brilliant colour, a silky soft hand and elegant drape. Other advantages are their blendability and their control of humidity.
