The International Association of Clothing Designers and Executives forecasts fashion trends in colors, fabric fiber content, apparel manufacture, silhouettes, men's apparel, apparel for the office, evening wear, outerwear, and women's apparel. Important developments for the new century include a more refined look in men's apparel, incorporating precise lines, structured silhouettes, and unique fabrics (worsted wool blended with cashmere, camel hair, alpaca, mink, and mohair); an increase in color variations; casual apparel for the office, using functional fabrics manufactured from blends of natural and manmade fibers; a greater emphasis on evening wear, especially tuxedos; and simpler designs for women's apparel, with an emphasis on fabric selection, color, and precision of construction.
