DYE BLEEDING

When cleaning dark garments with some lighter contrast portions, dye bleeding can be problematic. Especially when the bleeding appears as a red discoloration and no red garments were cleaned. Often this can be explained by the presence of black or blue dyes. (Black and blue dyes can release a red dyestuff.) Recleaning may remove the fugitive dye, or local spotting may be required.
