Nitoms introduced a fabric softener that uses green tea extract for deodorizing and a bamboo extract for antibacterial properties. The softener is effective in killing odors on wet laundry, as well as those from perspiration, urine, perfume, fish, and cigarettes. An 180 gram bottle retails for 800 yen. Daisan Company offers a fabric softener with microcapsules that contain white cedar leaf oil with effective antibacterial and deodorizing properties. Hydrophobic capsules help the oil to seep into fibers quickly, providing antibacterial protection for up to ten launderings. BlueKey Company offers Seiketsu Monogatari, which contains microcapsules that release extracts of hinoki tree and mugwart. The agent has antibacterial and insect resistant properties that last for up to ten launderings. Two 8 gram packages retail for 700 yen.
