The status of change in professional care of garments is reviewed.
With the evolution of alternative care technologies comes the need to explore their impact on care labeling. AATCC's Professional Textile Care Test Methods Committee (RA43) is participating in national and international efforts to develop test methods that assess textile performance in these new cleaning processes. The database generated from these efforts will enhance communication between all members of the textile chain, the regulatory agencies, and the consumer.
