Studies on problems of storage and washing of garments with detergent and soap

The article highlights some of the fabric defect problems faced by mills/garments which have been investigated by the Bombay Textile Research Association, and suggests remedial measures to overcome them. commonly encountered problems include fading, yellow stains in bleached/finished fabrics during storage, and appearance of white patches on polycotton after soaping. Close attention must be paid to detergents and packaging materials.
