WL Gore have developed an operating room grown which offers a high degree of protection from infective agents. The reason the grown is unique is because it also offers the same comfort an microfibre material. The laminate that is used to make the gown is developed form modified ePTFE membrane and a new woven/knit outer face fabric which has sufficient fluid uptake. The inner layer is a light-knitted textile fabric with good skin properties. Called Assist Fabric, the three layer laminate has been introduced onto the market after two years of development and resting.
