Hollow fiber ultrafiltration or coagulation with aluminum chloride and sodium hydroxide tend to concentrate polymer lattices from wastewater for recycling. During separation of the polymer from the wastewater, a water soluble, high molecular weight dispersant is added to prevent polymer coagulation. The use of aluminum chloride results in a white polymer concentrate. These concentrates can be used as flocking binders for textiles, pulp molding binders, agricultural fabric to protect plants, and reagents to stabilize powders. 7 refs.
