Talon Incorporated recently introduced a zipper tape that can be heat sealed i place without applying conventional thermal bonding films. Talon's new zipper comprises tow woven mounting tapes that contain zipper teeth. the mounting tapes incorportae fusilbe yarns that are composed of 220 denier flat polyester coated with olyvinyl chloride. Talon provides versions with the fusible yarns lockated on the front, back, or both sides of the mounting tape. Talon's heat sealable zipper tape bears United States patent number 5,172,456.
