A fire-resistant fibrous mat comprises a nonwoven blend of mineral fibres and glass fibres, bonded together by means of a fire-resistant binder comprising a stable mixture of a latex of a fire-resistant, halogenated, thermoplastic polymer and a modified urea-formaldehyde condensate. IPC B32B B05D.
