The article presents the first part of a multi-park CAD foundation course in the production of garment patterns using Grafis. Grafis is a pattern construction system which is widely used in industry and education. The version presented here is a practice version. This part presents general information about working with Grafis, how to start and finish, how to start a basic construction, and how to grade different sizes. The course is published in conjunction with the Fachhochschule Niederrhein, Monchengladbach and Grafis-Software and is for private use only.
