This paper reviews the range of apparel technology exhibited at the CAD Expo, in New York in 1996. In particular, it discusses the factors involved in the increasing popularity of CAD technology, and the range of equipment and software on show at the exhibition. Some of the systems reviewed include the Garment Styler from Cochenille Design Studio, US, the Gerbersuite package from Gerber, US, and a laptop rep system from Moda CAD, US.
