Carpet Knit - warp knitting technology sets new standards in carpet finishing (German)

It is shown that a warp-knitted carpet can be stabilized by coating with modified polypropylene or with water glass. They are particularly advantageous for subsequent carpet recyling and guarantee good product characteristics. Additives can be used to impart flame resistance and antistatic properties. These need not be used when water glass is applied. With polypropylene the flame-resistant additives must be added in the extruder. Only a low coating mass has to be used.
