measurements of the kerr effect and cotton-mouton effect of a series of non-dipolar, axially-symmetric, diamagnetic molecules have been made at 25 degreesc and 632.8 nm. the static orientational correlation functions for these liquids were drawn from depolarised rayleigh scattering studies and the derived magnetic anisotropies are in good agreement with literature data
