the tatung tcs-7000 is a good all-rounder. it is adequately if not exceptionally cheap, fast and well-designed: a balance of virtues that few other at compatibles can match. the finish is good judged by the standards of most smaller manufacturers, but not up to that offered by companies like ibm, epson, wang and olivetti. the relatively poor keyboard and user manual are the only main weaknesses, but neither of these is an intolerable burden. it costs pounds 2600
