describes the main factors required to set-up the process suitable for the manufacture of conductive and resistive networks of thick-film devices with small tolerances and good reproducibility the two principal elements contributing to silk-screen printing, the screen stencil and the screen machine are examined. in this respect the main parameters and factors that affect the operating characteristics are evaluated, in order to obtain a good reproducibility of final results. some statistical histograms related to production lots of thick film components made according to related procedures are exhibited. these graphs show the ohmic value distributions for particular resistors before and after trimming adjustments
