a driver fuel is needed for the safe and efficient operation of kmrr. the purpose of this project is to design and fabricate the kmrr fuel by our own technology. the works for 1989/1990 have been done as follows: (i) the design manual, preliminary technical specification, test specification for flow test, and kmrr fuel bundle drawings in which the diameters of impedance plate was included, and the swelling models for the fuel meat. (ii) the fabrication process technologies of the fuel meat production including an innovation process such as atomizing the melt in rapid solidification and assembling. (iii) casting alloys, heat treatment, comminution, blending, extrusion, surface treatment, cladding, plug welding, production of end plate, quality control systems, process control systems.
