the microstructure and the texture of ceramics obtained from organometallic polymer manufacturing are investigated. the interfaces and the bulk structure of the carbon fiber resin composite materials are studied. the transmission electron microscopy and x ray diffraction are the basic applied techniques. concerning microstructure and texture characterization, the results obtained can be explained by the fact that the first atomic layers adsorbed on a surface, tend to grow following the bulk structure. in the carbon fiber resin composite investigations, the interphase gradients between the fibers, submitted to a surface treatment and greased, and the different resins, are not detected
