the present invention relates to processes for oxidative (using hydrogen peroxide) and reductive bleaching of fibers, and fibers bleached by the aforementioned processes. both of the bleaching processes of the present invention may be utilized to great advantage with any of a wide variety of fiber compositions, including animal hair fibers, plant fibers, synthetic fibers, and blends of two or more of the aforementioned, (notably, fibers consisting essentially of wool, fibers consisting of cotton, and blends of wool with either materials)
