Starfish Program Helps Flynt Hit Shrinkage Targets in Cotton Knits.

Flynt Fabrics has used computer simulations for nearly two years to design cotton knit fabrics and formulate finishing and dyeing specifications. The Starfish simulation program meets customer needs by analyzing design requirements and developing simulation variables that specify machines, materials, and processes, and estimate production costs. The new style is initially produced as a sample. The starfish program has accurately predicted shrinkage and has virtually eliminated the need for sample remakes.
