More than 1,200 exhibitors will participate in ITMA 1995. An exhibit preview discusses innovative and improved equipment for spinning and weaving. In the ring spinning sector, Suessen will exhibit its FIOMAX 1000 system for the ring spinning of cotton and short staple fibers. FIOMAX 1000 features spindle speeds of up to 21,000 rpm, excellent yarn quality, automated doffing, low noise levels, low energy consumption, easy maintenance, and excellent reliability. In the open end spinning sector, Rieter will show its R1 rotor spinning machine with improved trash removal and lower power consumption. Rieter's BASETEX BT 905 rotor spinning machine is intended for markets in the Mid-East, Asia, and South America. Fehrer will emphasize applications of its DREF 2 and DREF 3 friction spinning machines, which are suitable for recycling textile waste and for spinning industrial yarns. Suessen will show the PLYfil air jet spinning system and the parafil wrap spinning machine for the production of paralle yarns. In the weaving sector, Dornier will feature its air jet and rapier looms for the production of sophisticated jacquard and dobby fabrics. Sulzer Ruti will exhibit the P lean, a loom for the economic production of standard woven fabrics; the M8300 loom, which has a design based on the multilinear shed principle; and a special projectile loom for weaving heavy fabrics. Among the technical innovations that will be introduced at ITMA 1995, the most important include improvements to automation, microfiber processing, winding performance, quick response, and pollution control.
