This article describes the redesigned PT-2 and PT-4 Random Tumble Pilling Testers, which have been developed by Atlas Electric Devices Co. These test the industry standard for determining the pilling and fuzzing characteristics of all fabric types. They meet the ASTM D3512 and produce reliable results that correlate well with a fabrics end use performance. In addition Atlas now offers standard French and German version impellers for increased test flexibility.
