KOTITI operates KOTITI LABEL, its proprietary certification program designed to verify the safety of products closely connected to everyday life.
As a new standard for daily safety, KOTITI LABEL provides consumers with a reliable benchmark for peace of mind and offers companies differentiated competitiveness. Through a comprehensive certification framework that encompasses testing, certification, and safety management at both the product and workplace levels, KOTITI is committed to fostering a culture of safety in everyday life.
With the influx of low-cost imported metal accessories whose safety is difficult to guarantee, along with recurring cases of illegal and defective products causing consumer harm, KOTITI established the Allergy Safety Certification for Metal Accessories system. This certification aims to foster a culture of product safety in the metal accessories sector and to enhance consumer confidence and competitiveness in product selection.
Allergy Safety Certification for Metal Accessories
This certification contributes to verifying and improving the safety of metal accessories. It evaluates factors such as quality and the release levels of nickel (Ni) and cobalt (Co), which are known to cause allergies, and grants a certification mark to products that meet the safety standards.
Certification Scope
Metal products that come into contact with the skin, including earrings (with piercings), rings, necklaces, bracelets, wristwatches, eyeglass frames, and other accessories.
Nail accessories, hairpins, and other similar products
Certification Procedure
KOTITI has expanded the scope of certification to include not only products but also manufacturing sites (factories). This ensures that safe metal accessories are produced and distributed throughout the entire process from production to sales through a structured safety certification procedure.

Overview
Due to recurring issues with products containing radon and other radioactive substances classified as Group 1 carcinogens, KOTITI provides product certification services to ensure the safety of everyday consumer goods and to support proactive compliance with related regulations.
Radioactive Substances Certification
This certification system verifies the safety of consumer products and food with respect to radioactive substances. After testing for substances such as radon, cesium, and iodine, as well as conducting on-site audits, products and systems that meet the improved standards tailored to Korea are granted a certification mark.
Certification is granted only when a product passes both simplified analysis using the sealed chamber testing method and precise analysis with a gamma spectrometer, which evaluate the emission and content levels of radioactive substances.
Certification Scope
All consumer products such as bedding, clothing, and building materials, as well as items not yet regulated such as pet products and urethane-based goods (excluding natural minerals or products made from primarily processed natural minerals).
Bedding and Apparel
Building Materials and Furniture
Quasi-Drugs and Cosmetics
Agricultural, Fishery, and Food Products
Certification Procedure
We have established a safety certification procedure that verifies whether systems and products meet applicable standards, while also assessing compliance with companies’ radioactive substance safety management requirements. This ensures that safe products, free from radioactive risks, can be produced and distributed.

Overview
With the growing pet population, the market for related products is also expanding. However, there is still a lack of credible systems to verify the safety and quality of these products. In response, KOTITI introduced Korea’s first private safety certification system for pet products, the PS Certification. Through this program, we comprehensively evaluate and verify factors such as the physical safety and chemical hazards of pet products.
Pet Safety (PS) Certification
A Pet Safety (PS) Certification is a pet product quality certification system jointly administered by KOTITI, a nationally accredited testing organization, and the Korea Kennel Club, the largest pet organization in Korea.
We have established product certification standards to ensure the reliability and safety of pet products, and we actively carry out quality management to contribute to the development of the pet industry.
Certification Scope
The certification currently covers a total of seven categories, including apparel and bedding, and we are working to expand the scope to additional product items.

Overview
Public concern over microplastics is growing, and recent studies have even reported the presence of microplastics in indoor air. In response, KOTITI introduced Korea’s first private certification system for air purifiers, the “Airborne Microplastics Reduction Certification.” This system evaluates and verifies the performance of air purifiers in reducing airborne microplastics.
The Airborne Microplastics Reduction Certification for Air Purifiers
The Airborne Microplastics Reduction Certification verifies the performance of indoor air purifiers in removing airborne microplastics. Certification is granted to products that demonstrate the ability to eliminate spherical polystyrene particles measuring 0.3 µm in size, among other performance criteria.
