Truetzschler's Cleanomat cotton cleaning equipment acheives very high degrees of cleaning in very short cleaning lines. The Cleanomat may contain one, three, or four rollers. Roller surfaces contain pins, needles, coarse saw tooth wires, or fine saw tooth wires. Mote knives combined with the carding segment and suction hoods remove seed coat fragments and process sticky and high dust content cottons. Feeders comprise a combination of a condenser and a feed trunk multiple mixers having four or six chambers. Advantages of the equipment include high cleaning efficiency, thorough opening of fiber tufts, optimum removal of trash prior to carding, and savings in power and maintenance costs compared with conventional cotton cleaning equipment. 3 refs.
