For quick reference (just in case) - Eddie Bauer testing requirements are called "Test Specifications" or (TS's).
·Please see attached the current Eddie Bauer Test Specifications (TS's) for Outerwear. Summary page is included as the first tab.
·Within each TS, tests required by fabric and garment stages (development, pre-production and production) are identified in columns with an 'x'.
·The main battery of tests (BASIC TESTS REQUIRED) for Outerwear fall under TS 301 (Woven Outerwear); TS 302 (Knit Outerwear) and TS 303 Leather Outerwear.
·For ANY ADDITIONAL fabric performance claims, the appropriate performance test(s) will need to be included along with the basic TS. Appearsthe fabric(s) being discussed are waterproof/breathable. If this is the case the following ADDITIONAL PERFORMANCE TS's will need to be tested:
=> TS 940 (AATCC-22) - Water Repellency
WR: Initial Rating 90/70 after x3 laundering
DWR: Initial Rating 90/80 after x5 launderings
DWR PLUS: Initial Rating 100/80 after x20 launderings
=> TS 945 (AATCC-35) - Water Resistance
=> TS 949 (JIS L-1092) - Waterproof
5K - Claimed performance Initially and after x3 launderings
10K - Claimed performance Initially and after x3 launderings
20K - Claimed Performance Initially and after x10 launderings
=> TS 950 (JIS L -1099) - Breathable
5K - Claimed performance Initially
10K - Claimed performance Initially
20K - Claimed Performance Initially
=> TS 960 (ASTM D737) - Air Perm
Initially and after x5 launderings
·Please also find attached :
=> The Eddie Bauer Test Request Form: So for waterproof/breathable woven fabric the following TS's should be checked on the Test Request Form: 301 + 940 + 945 + 949 + 950 + 960. Please also include water repellency level and waterproof/breathable claimed performance level on the submit form (i.e. 5K, 10K, 20K).
