Despite the economic recession of Japan and Europe, the Japanese ultrafine microfiber fabrics market is performing well. This is due to a lock of competing products and strong investments in new products. Several methods of manufacturing ultrafine microfibers, such as dissolving and removing, split and separation, and direct spinning, are discussed briefly. Several microfiber fabrics, such as Unitika's FSY, Teijin's Asty and Altex, Kanebo's Belima X and Belima T, Kuraray's Wramp and F-F, Asahi's Besaylon and Luxilla, and Toray's Chamistie and UTS, are also discussed.
