Most woven fabrics have a flat surface, but a rough surface with a measurable for certain technical en uses. In some cases, the appearance of the fabric is also important, and contrasting yarn colors or values can be used in the warp and weft to effect this property. Twenty-six samples of woven fabric patterns with strong friction coefficients are presented.
