CAD systems have opened lots of new possiblities to designers and development departments, from higher creativity, possibility of fast incorporation of novelties and improvements into their work and higher flexbility for adaptation to constantly and quickly changing fashion trends and market demands, up to more rational and scensible use of time and materials. A CAD system has been developed by the company Arahne D.O.O. Composed of a few packages it will facilitate the designing of shaft and jacquard woven fabric and will improve the quality of products. Arah List has been designed for shaft weaving and ArahJac for jacquard weaving. Since designing of jacquard fabrics is a step-by-step process. Arahne d.o.o. have supported their system with a group of programs such as Arah Ris, Veznik, ArahJac and Preb-Dart. ArahJac enables the designer to follow the preparation of a fabric sample from the initial to the final step and if neccessary to make changes of particular parameters on screen.
