Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, Tsudakoma Corporation, and Shima Seiki exhibited fabric manufacturing equipment at ITMA 1995. Toyoda introduced the Model JAT600 air jet loom which featured high speed operation (up to 1,000 rpm) for spinning staple, filament, and glass fibers. Toyoda's quick style change system included computerized control, networking capabilities, and automatic fabric transfer, which reduces labor and increases efficiency. Tsudakoma demonstrated the ZAX and ZA air jet looms and the ZW water jet loom. Operating speeds for the ZAX and ZW models reached as high as 1,700 rpm and 2,000 rpm, respectively. Tsudakoma also showed the TFK carriageless flat bed knitting machine, which features low tension, high speed knitting, and flexible patterning possibilities. Shima Seiki offered ten models of flat bed knitting machines, the Super Micro SDS system for knit design and programming, and a glove and sock knitting machine range. In news unrelated to ITMA 1995, Japanese manufacturers were awarded patents for a linkage system, a fluid jet valve, a weft yarn mending method for jet looms, fabric roll changing devices for looms, a fabric inspection device, a pile length and weft density changing method, and a vibration proofing mount for looms.
