A new finishing process from International Paper's Versatec division is presented, which claims to dramatically change the look feel and performance of woven fabrics. Called the Interspun Enhanced Fabric process, the hydroenhancement technology uses curtains of needle-thin jets of water to rearrange fibres in fabrics made from cotton, lyocell, polyester, wool, nylon, polypropylene, and many others. The process entangles the fibres and locks them together, causing the yarns to bloom and the fabric to bulk.
