Researchers designed a computer program to analyze the tensile strength of warp yarn during weaving. The program yielded the tensile properties of the warp yarn as well as the statistical deviation during each stage of weaving. They used the results to derive such yarn properties as hairiness and clinging tendency. An expert system was developed to optimize the jacqurd weaving process. Researchers also integrated a simulation program into the software to calculate dynamic warp yarn tension and adjust loom settings.
