The mechanical properties of laminates manufactured from thermoplastics performed with woven and warp-knitted fabric, to gether with braiding, were tested. Their performance was satisfactory. The load-bearing capabilities of beams manufactured in this way were tested in three-point bending and impact. Experimentally-determined deflections compared well with values obtained using commercial CAE software. A commingled yard (300 tex) consisting of glass and polyester fibres was used in the composites.
