[직/편성물] THE EFFECT OF MICRONAIRE ON FABRIC BARRE 출판일 : 1991.05.20 저자 : 서지사항 : Textile Topics 19, No. 4: 1-3(Dec. 1990). English 등록일 : 2016.11.02 I 조회수 : 341 작성자 : |
Three lots of Texas cottons of the same variety, but of different micronaire values, were evaluated to see what effect micronaire has on circular knitted fabrics. The micronaire values of the cottons tested ranged from 3.0 to 3.5. The fiber and yarn properties of each lot were compared. The equipment and methods used to open, clean, card, spin, and knit the cotton were described. After knitting, the fabric was scoured and dyed. Results showed that a change in micronaire value of 3.0 to 3.3 produced a visible stripe in a circular knitted fabric. A change in micronoaire from 3.3 to 3.5 gave a barely visible change. The micronaire value between cottons should be less than 20 units per lot, in order to avoid barre in dyed fabrics.
