A method for the automated calculation of the warp deformation and tension in terms of the settings of the ATPR pneumatic-rapier loom is described. A computer program is presented. The fabric is question includes warp and weft yarns with a linear density of 40 x 2 tex. The end spacing is 140 yarns/inch. It is shown that the warp deformation in different loom zones, when calculated on the basis of an elastic model, is considerably lower than that calculated on the basis of a viscoelastic model.
