The K. Marx LMO testing center studied the effect of pressing force on the shape of the winding package using the AV-192L take-up and winding mechanism. The pressing force is responsible for the package geometry and density ; therefore, the maximum amount of pressing force that can be withstood against the friction cylinder without mashing the yarn package must be known in order to maintain consistent, high quality package production. In the case of the AV-192L, decreasing radial pulsation of the pair elements and damping their mutual vibrations maintains the yarn package's proper form. 1ref.
