A control system was developed to minimize the yarn spreader reversing time on hydraulic yarn laydown mechanisms and consequently to improve yarn packages and winding. The control system increases the speed of the yarn spreader at the moment of reversal by opening the slide valve and feeding the working liquid from the pump assembly into the torque hydraulic cylinder. This control system reduces the accumulations on the ends of packages. A throttle regulates the hydraulic motor speed. 3 refs.
