The possibilities of the Stoll CMS 340 Knit and Wear knitting machine are described. The winter 2000 collection of items designed in cooperation with the Stoll Fashion Center and the designer Clelia Traini includes multi-gauge and fully-fashioned items. The multi-gauge knits were produced on the CMS 340 Knit and Wear which can be used to knit areas of the design in coarse and fine gauges with different yarns in the same row. The new Stoll Multiflex drawing system has been especially developed for multi-gauge machines and makes it possible to carry out all the knitting techniques required for whole-garment knitted articles and fully-fashioned items.
