This report deals the solving of two problems of woven fabric design taking into account that results would be especially useful for CAD. First one is weave composition. The weave of woven fabric is peculiar element of its construction. At first, it is an element of mechanical construction with all specific for such constructions features-forces and couples are acting the threads, and they are stretched, bent and even twisted, their cross-section is pressed. The reaction of threads to these actions depends on the yarn raw material. As result of these actions and reactions the fabric with certain properties is formed. So if the weave would be only as an element of mechanical construction the number of weaves would be exactly limited. However, there are second side of weave influence on fabric properties. It is influence on fabric surface appearance, its facture - i. e., on aesthetic properties. These properties are important for one-coloured fabric as well as for checked one. Therefore this element of fabric construction is of extremely wide variety. So the problem of weave entering into computer arises, especially those which have big repeats, for example, 160 x 120. This is the aim of the first part of report.
